Hot-Cathode Fluorescent Lamps

LCDL manufactures hot-cathode fluorescent lamps (HCFL) that utilize a filament, these HCFL lamps are used in copiers, scanners, and vision systems.   LCDL’s lineup of HCFL lamps provide a variety of sizes including T2 to T12, the letter T represents a tubular lamp and the number represents one eighth of an inch, making a T8 a tubular lamp in exactly one inch diameter whereas the T12 would be 1 ½ inches in diameter.  HCFL lamps are used in graphic art applications, outdoor signs and medical devices.

Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lamps

LCDL produces cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) as well, which are bendable and common in neon signs.  These miniature lamps range in size with a 2mm to 10mm diameter, and up to 3050mm in length.  These miniature lamps are used as accent lighting, and smaller sizes of up to 15mm are used for back lighting in commercial and military applications in avionic displays, computers, vehicles and even space shuttles used in the NASA program.
