Our Proprietary Fluorescent TUFBEND® U-lamps

As part of the LightSources group since 2009, Voltarc Technologies Inc. is the leader in the signage industry and architectural lighting dating back more than 75 years to our origins.  We have an unrivaled portfolio of high-quality products that includes fluorescent sign lamps, neon tubing, long lamps, U-lamps, and our unique cup-cathode construction that provides unsurpassed electrical life to the TriLight Max Series of fluorescent lamps.

One product we are extremely proud of is our TUFBEND® U-lamps, which are the top choice of sign-makers across the country for exterior fluorescent signs due to the high-output of the lamps.  Designed to simplify the construction of signs with difficult applications and irregular shapes, u-lamps provide an ideal solution as they require support at only one end while still offering the proper amount of light at the bend end.

As an industry standard, Voltarc’s TUFBEND® U-lamps can help sign-makers to cut labor and material costs up to 50 percent.  With the tough, heavy wall glass and patented stabilizing brace in our proprietary lamps, it provides an opportunity for significant changes in sign design, construction and maintenance.  Signs with U-lamps cost less and require less maintenance as each lamp does twice the work of a similar straight lamp.  Sign-makers have more freedom regarding the size and shape of their designs when using u-lamps because sockets are in the same plane and require only one raceway, which eliminates cross-wiring.   Also signs designed using u-lamps require fewer ballasts, sockets and lamps thus reducing construction costs as well as maintenance costs down the road.

Furthermore, Voltarc’s TUFBEND® U-lamp’s bent ends will fill space that otherwise may have required the installation of straight lamps so there is no need for lamp overlap to realize bright, even illumination.  See our website to learn more about how our patented technology can help you with the design of your next sign.

The LightSources group is the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today.  Our team consists of the most highly skilled professionals that specialize in a range of innovative solutions.  Please contact us to learn more about our broad range of standard and custom lighting solutions.

Pellet Amalgam Lamp Technology

If you are looking for the most cost-effective, and environmentally-friendly solution for curing adhesives and resins or for inks used in quality magazines and newspapers, you need to consider our excellent low pressure UV lamps.  LightSources and LightTech’s low pressure UV mercury lamps are used worldwide in a variety of industries, and are not only safer than heat-based curing systems but produce no hazardous byproducts.  Furthermore, UV curing lamps also offer the benefit of lower operating costs since they use less power than medium pressure lamps and are ideal for applications that require dimming.

If you want to cure cationic based inks and adhesives, you may want to take a look at LightSources and LightTech’s amalgam lamps, which incorporate our proprietary pellet amalgam technology.  This exclusive, cutting-edge technology was pioneered and patented by us.  Pellet amalgam technology’s major benefit over spot amalgam is that the pellet lamps produce a higher UVC intensity as well as provide higher UVC output while in 80% and 60% dimming operational modes.

With an output of 300 to 1,000 watts with one-third of it usable UVC energy, our amalgam pellet lamps save money by allowing you to downsize your system as it provides the maximum efficiency for UV curing.  In comparison a typical low pressure UV curing lamp produces outputs only as high as 150 watts.

Another reason you will want to take a look at LightSources and LightTech’s proprietary pellet amalgam lamps is that they can be mounted horizontally or vertically which allows for better efficiency.  In addition they are capable of operating in more extreme ambient environments.   Please take a look at our website to find out more information about our UV curing lamps as well as the rest of our extensive line of quality standard and customized lighting solutions.
