Efficient UVC Compact Lamps Offer the Best Value

LightSources and LightTech are the leading producers of low pressure tanning lamp and UVC quartz germicidal lamp technologies.  Our portfolio includes UVC germicidal lamps, amalgam lamps, specialty UV lamps, low pressure fluorescent and high pressure facial tanning lamps, twist, dual and triple-phosphor tanning lamps, medical lamps, collagen fluorescent lamps, and eco-friendly UV lighting solutions such as low mercury lamps.

An example of one of our more popular lamps is the UVC compact germicidal lamp that is ideal for applications in small spaces.  We have an excellent selection of high efficiency compact lamps and also offer innovative compact lamp designs that make use of our patented pellet amalgam technology.  With exceptional UVC efficiency, these lamps provide one of the best values in today’s market.

Our compact lamps are available in soft glass (254nm only) and quartz glass for both 254nm and 185nm technology.  With our soft glass, low pressure compact lamps, we offer a selection of both standard and customized sizes and configurations.  LightSources and LightTech’s innovative two-tube linear design allows for a very uniform output.

The high efficiency of our compact lamps is created by leaving a small dead space at the end of each of the two parallel tubes.  Since this area is not a part of the path followed by the discharge (farther away from the center of the discharge column) the wall temperature is lower than anywhere else creating a dedicated mercury cold spot.

Please refer to our website for a detailed chart on our range of compact lamps that includes soft glass low pressure as well as soft glass high power and quartz glass high power options.   We also have high-quality, custom quartz high wattage (> 150W) pellet amalgam compact lamps available.

The LightSources group is the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today.  Our products are used worldwide and are found in a multitude of applications and industries such as our UV germicidal lamps that offer patent-protected, OEM-oriented solutions.  Please contact us to learn more about our broad range of standard and custom lighting solutions.

Precision Color Rendering for Theatrical, Architectural, & Decorative Applications

One of the strengths of LightSources’ affiliate, LCD Lighting, is to design, engineer and manufacture lighting for stage, screen, studio, and theatre applications as well as for museums, auditoriums, architectural, display and interior decorative applications.  Our experienced team understands the complexities of producing fluorescent lamps that meet the unique needs of architects, artists and curator’s exacting standards.

At LCD Lighting, we have created a selection of lamps designed for SSTV/Film applications.  Our Kel Select™ 32 lamps contain a phosphor blend that is highly compatible with tungsten halogen light sources and meet the specific demands of filming with 32 film.   We also offer the industry our Kel Select™ 56 lamps that are compatible with supplemental HMI® and other 56 light sources and fully meet the demands of 56 film.

In terms of architectural, display and interior decorative lighting solutions, we create colored lamps that are ideal for parties, carnivals, museums, sculpture, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, bowling alleys and much more.  Our glass lamps use a phosphor that provides a true red, green, blue, pink, and gold light and do not have an exterior coating or color shield.  Another benefit of our lighting is that the phosphor blends do not fade or peel.

For auditorium and movie theater lighting, we offer clients both standard and custom color options.  Our broad range of standard colors include cool white, warm white, daylight, blue, green, red, and tri-band, with ultraviolet and infrared phosphors.  If your needs require, we will blend a customized color.

Another specialty of LCD Lighting is to provide lighting for gallery, viewing, and displays for places such as museums.  We know that lights play an extremely important part in how art is seen and our goal is to help heighten the public’s viewing experience in any way possible.

LightSources and our affiliated companies, LCD Lighting, Voltarc along with strategic partners LightTech, and Cerlux represent the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today.  Please contact us to learn more about our extensive selection of lighting solutions.

FAQs Regarding Specialty Fluorescent Lighting

The LightSources group not only provides the most cutting-edge lighting solutions to OEMs of all sizes but we also operate a comprehensive website loaded with a broad range of information regarding our products.  One way we assist you with any problems or questions you may have, is with our FAQs section that is found under the Education tab for the various types of lighting we offer.

For example, if you use specialty flurorescent lighting, you will be able to find answers to a variety of questions you have regarding the products.  The FAQs provides practical information such as how far can you position the inverter from the lamp, and can you run more than two lamps on a single invertor?  These are important questions that you may need answers to.

We even provide details for the preferred methods of mounting small diameter fluorescent lamps.  The answer is that “any method that does not put stress on the glass envelope and/or the lead-to-glass seal on the lamp end is acceptable. Most common methods are to solder the leads (with a strain relief bend) directly into a PC board, or to secure the lamp ends with a custom silicon end cap.”

Another interesting question answered by our experts explains the meaning of “Color Temperature”.  Here is part of our answer: The color temperature of light refers to the temperature to which one would have to heat a “black body” source to produce light of similar spectral characteristics. Color Temperature is expressed in degrees Kelvin (K). Low color temperature implies warmer (more yellow/red) light while high color temperature implies a colder (more blue) light. Moreover, the “color temperature” of a lamp refers to how reddish, greenish or bluish the lamp appears.”

Take a look at our website to see our full FAQs section and learn more about our specialty fluorescent,  UV germicidal, UV curing, tanning and sign lighting.  At the LightSources group, we design, engineer and manufacture standard and customized lamps for OEMs worldwide.  Whether you are a small, medium, or large company; an entrepreneur with a new product idea; or a global corporation that needs a flexible supply of specialty lamps on a moment’s notice, you can trust LightSources to deliver.

Our Proprietary LongLife+™ Technology

At LightSources and LightTech, we bring to our customers a proprietary special coating that can be applied to all of our germicidal lamp products.  Our LongLife+™ technology consists of a chemical compound that is applied to the inside of our lamps and makes them not only last longer but also run more efficiently.  The special coating also eliminates accelerated depreciation, which is a common problem associated with higher intensity lamps.

While the actual performance of any lamp depends on the operating conditions, laboratory tests show that the lifespan of a lamp with our proprietary LongLife+ coating lasts up to 16,000 hours.  In comparison, germicidal lamps generally have a lifespan of around 9,000 hours.  The additional operational hours make a germicidal lamp coated with LongLife+ a good investment since they will need to be replaced less frequently.  Our UVC lamps also have an improved end-of-life performance and maintain up to 80% of their output right up to the end of their 16,000 hour lifespan.

Another benefit of LightSources and LightTech’s technology is that it is environmentally friendly, which is an important part of our company’s philosophy.  Since LongLife+ lamps last longer, they help to reduce waste and protect our valuable natural resources.   Furthermore, our low mercury (Hg) technology means that there is less than 5mg Hg on our standard lamps and less than 10mg Hg on our pellet amalgam lamps.  To compare, an average competitor’s amalgam lamps contain 30+ mg Hg.

We encourage you to contact us for more information about our cutting-edge technology.  Your company can save both time and money with our LongLife+ lamps that require less frequent replacements and improved end-of-life performance.

LightSources and our affiliated companies represent the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today.  Our products are used world-wide in a multitude of applications and industries such as our UV germicidal lamps that offer patent-protected, OEM-oriented solutions.  Our team consists of the most highly skilled
