Effectively Treat Psoriasis with UV Phototherapy Lamps

Ballast Water Treatment Convention New Rules


The new requirements for the Ballast Water Treatment Convention (BWTC) took effect last September of 2017, with the main goal of establishing procedures for how ships treat their ballast water. The BWTC is enforced by the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), which is a subsidiary group of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Ballast water in ships has been determined to be one of the greatest threats to the sustainability of our world’s oceans.

When ships travel from one port to another and release ballast water from a completely different region, invasive marine organisms often spread to uncontrollable levels wreaking havoc on the fishing industry and even the health and livelihood of residents living in the area. How Does a UVC Light Bulb Work?

UVC Light Bulb Specifications

UVC light bulbs are typically low pressure, mercury lamps which provide the optimum amount of UV radiation at the right wavelength.
