Along with all of the other benefits
of partnering with LightSources and LightTech, we are also experts at designing
proprietary base designs as well as helping our customers apply for patents and
trademarks. With the help of our sister
company Cerlux, a specialty manufacturer of custom ceramic components, we have
the expertise and resources to easily fabricate exclusive proprietary and
custom ceramic base and socket components for OEMs.
LightSources and LightTech offer a broad
range of colors so you can create products that reflect your corporate identity
or help to set your systems apart from your competitors. You will find a choice of all standard
pantone colors, or if you desire, we also have a selection of premium colors
available. In addition all of our germicidal lamp bases and sockets can be customized with your company’s logo decal or
other details. For our tanning and
specialty lamps, unique identifiers are etched right on the glass.
Furthermore, services such as rapid
prototyping provide clients with either bases/sockets or color decals within
one week or less (3D model file .stp). This
is important as your prototype will play a significant role in the preliminary
system design as well as be used to determine dimensional compatibility between
our lamps and your system needs.
The entire procedure for creating a
base/socket design and then bringing it to the patenting process does not
require as much time as you may have imagined and generally only takes a couple
of months. Keep in mind we offer the option
of designing your proprietary lamp base with help from our team or you can have
our experienced engineers design it entirely for you. To give you an ideal of the process we encourage
you to take a look at a sample
project plan.
LightSources and its affiliated
companies – LCD Lighting, Voltarc, LightTech, and Cerlux represent the leading
high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today. Our products are used world-wide in a
multitude of applications and industries such as our avionic display
backlighting that is part of the National Defense and US Space Program.
