LightSources U.S. Team is Active Participant in Relay for Life

Led by Sue Rocchio, the U.S. based LightSources associates in Orange, Connecticut created a women’s team to participate in The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  The event is a 24-hour relay that helps increase awareness and raise funds to combat breast cancer.

According to Sue, “The relays have always been a special experience for our teams.  Many of us have come in touch with cancer ourselves.  Rain or shine, different groups from around the community participated in this wonderful event to support a common cause.”

LightSources associates join more than 4 million people in over 20 different countries by participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.  And the event is growing every year and becoming a global movement.  The success of the event helps save lives by raising money and increasing visibility on the efforts to defeat cancer.  But those that participate also get to celebrate the lives of people that have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

The Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those that face cancer will never be alone, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Individuals and groups that have participated have reported it is truly a life changing event.

We at LightSources and our affiliated companies hope that many individuals will be inspired by our participation to join the efforts in their communities to support the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life.
