Developing Solutions to Reduce Industrial Pollution

It is a fact that industrial pollution impacts the wellbeing and health of the every person on the planet, and thus is a worldwide concern. Pollution from industries includes releasing toxins into the air as well as contaminating drinking water and the soil.  Companies such as LightSources and LightTech are designing and manufacturing cost-effective, safe solutions to address these issues.  However despite the best efforts of such companies, global industrial pollution is still widespread and will take many years to bring under control.

Smoke and greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere from industrial air pollution is believed to be a contributing factor in climate change.  One of the challenges of moving the planet toward a more environmentally-friendly direction is the fact that many companies are still using outdated technology to combat pollution.   Often there is a lack of resources available, especially for small companies or those in poorer countries, to make the capital investment needed for effective pollution control.  Another problem that contributes to industrial pollution is the lack of standards and regulations in many countries, or if the laws do exist, the lack of enforcement. Furthermore, many industries use large amounts of water in their manufacturing processes that is contaminated with harmful chemicals.  Without systems in place such as LightSources and LightTech’s UVC germicidal water purification systems to deal with the waste water, it is often released into the environment still containing hazardous waste and other by-products.

At LightSources and LightTech, we are committed to designing, engineering and manufacturing UV lighting solutions that are intended to deal with industrial air, water and odor pollution in a safe and cost-effective method.  Our UV light applications are used for sewage treatment, purification of municipal and domestic drinking water, food processing and protection (irradiation), water reclamation, HVAC air sterilization, and odor control.  We invite you to browse our extensive website to learn more about all of our innovative UV lighting solutions that are more affordable than you may think.

LightSources and its affiliated companies – LCD Lighting, Voltarc, LightTech, and Cerlux represent the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today.  Our products are used world-wide in a multitude of applications and industries such as our UV air treatment systems that offer patent-protected, OEM-oriented solutions.
