Cerlux Offers Proprietary and Patented Base Solutions

 

Another critical component to the overwhelming success of the LightSources group is Cerlux, which is a specialty manufacturer of custom ceramic components.  They bring to our group the engineering and manufacturing expertise to design and fabricate proprietary end fittings and matching sockets.  This means we are able to offer proprietary and patented base solutions to both small and large OEMs that give them a competitive edge in their respective markets. 

Cerlux’s custom designed lamp caps with matching socket provide germicidal, specialty and tanning lamp industries highly individualized solutions.  When you are a client, our experienced team will work with you each step of the way including determining the best material to use based on your application environment.  Factors considered during the design process include Al2O3 content, wear and heat resistance, insulation capacity and color.

To produce our custom ceramic components, we most commonly use press injection molding, which allows us to create products with complex shapes and thin walls.  Our state-of-the-art manufacturing operations mean we can offer the highest quality products while still keeping prices competitive.  

Our products are fired in both, electric or natural gas operated furnaces of 1-2 m3, at 1.0000C or 1.60000C.  The fired glazing increases material strength and creates bright, aesthetic surfaces that are recommended to best protect the surfaces of ceramic products.  While the most commonly requested color is white mat or shiny, we offer all colors in the RAL or pantone palette.
